Lambeth announces resignation from Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School Board

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School Board member Donny Lambeth will resign his seat effective Dec. 31, the district announced this morning.

Lambeth has served on the school board for 18 years. He ran unopposed for NC House District 75, which is currently represented by Bill McGee. Lambeth will be sworn in as the new House representative next month.

Theo Helm, spokesman for the district, said the school board's bylaws call for the Forsyth County Commission to appoint Lambeth's replacement.
